Our research policy is as follows:

Research by appointment:

We charge 25.00 per hour for research through the Milton Historical Society. To hire a historian that either works or volunteers at our Society, schedule an appointment by emailing visit@historicmilton.org or calling 302-684-1010.

Pre-Visit Prepration:

Prior to your visit, or when making a research inquiry pertaining to family history, please provide the following, if known: first and last names, as well as maiden name, approximate birth and death dates, approximate time living in the area, approximate location where they lived (for example: in town, Harbeson, Cool Spring, etc.). This information is often available through older family members, passports, family documents, passports, bible inscriptions, public records, military records, and U.S. Census records.

Photocopies:

There is a 25 cent/page fee for photocopies, plus shipping and handling. There is a separate fee schedule for reproductions of photographs from the collection.
